Process parameters: Roughing process – premachining (roughing) at high speed and low current: generator current of 600 A, erosion depth of 9.50 mm, feed rate of 0.25 mm/min., machining time of 40 min., surface roughness of Ra < 0.05 µm
Smoothing process: Fine-machining at reduced speed and higher current (smoothing): generator current of 1200A, erosion depth of 0.50 mm (overall depth is therefore 10.00 mm), feed rate of 0.09 mm/min., machining time of 6 min. (overall machining time is therefore 46 min.), surface roughness of Ra < 0.05 µm.
